Minnesota:
Settlements and Inhabited cities/towns: WIP
Settlements:
Split Rock Lighthouse: A small settlement based in the lighthouse and the surrounding buildings. They are in an alliance with another nearby small town, those in the lighthouse use the lighthouse light in order to help the town be aware of approaching danger. The top level of the lighthouse always has two people present, one to operate the light, the other to hold a sniper position to watch the surroundings. They survive by hunting and gathering in the nearby woods and trading with their allies for fish.

Raider:
The Museum: The Headquarters of the raider warlord that rules a large portion of Minneapolis. The Museum was once the Minneapolis Institute of Art, however the warlord took it over and replaced the pre war exhibits with his trophies. He now has it arranged where anyone visiting the Museum is lead through the trophy room. The warlord lives in the top floor with his "wives" and a personal collection of pre war relics from museums around the Twin Cities.

Cities/towns:
Halloween: The pre war town of Anoka was known as the Halloween capital of the World, settlers that found the town were convinced that Halloween was a religious festival. The people started taking up parts of Halloween tradition as part of the town's culture, these included the carving of Jack O' Lanterns, costume making, and mask making. As a result of the taking up of these traditions the people of Halloween are expert tailors and have coming of age rituals based around the art of mask making. Whispers and rumors say the town hides a dark secret, however none have ever investigated the claims.

New Asgard: The home of the Norse, it consists of the pre war town Norseland and the nearby scout camp of the same name. The Berserkers live within the depths of the camp separated from the others due to their violent nature and drug addictions. The Jarl of the Norse and his closest warriors live in the old scout lodge, while the rest of the warriors and the civilians live within the town itself.

Pre war ruins and abandoned locations: WIP
Cities:

Landmarks:
Mississippi headwaters: The Source of the Mississippi river, this area was a pre-war tourist attraction lying within Itasca State Park. After the war it's lain mostly abandoned, occasionally some groups pass by, however what this area once was is often lost upon them.

Paul Bunyan statue: A statue standing in the town of Bemidji, the only still standing Paul Bunyan statue, if local legend is to be believed, the statue inspired a delusional man to think he was Paul Bunyan and set off to find "Babe" and wander the wastes.

Rapidan Dam: A large dam situated on the Blue Earth river, at one point it sat vacant and turned off. However about 15 years ago a group of tech savy settlers tried to set up a settlement by the dam, however by turning the dam on, they attracted some of the wildlife. The settlement was overrun and is now home to a family of Yao Guai, however the dam is still turned on and running.

Southdale center: One of the oldest shopping malls in the U.S, it is located in Edina. It has been largely picked clean, but the depths may hide more supplies. However it also comes with danger, Feral Ghouls infest the mall. The remains of scavengers can be found lying all over as well as in their dens.

Cram museum: A museum dedicated to the history of Cram, located in Austin.

The Met: A pre war Baseball stadium, occupied by the warlord's men and turned into a fighting arena, now those caught breaking the rules, slaves, and others fight to the death in the arena. Also popular for some of it's animal fights, however it mainly caters to raiders and the warlord's subjects.

Hill house: A notable, historical house lying within St Paul, this was the home of James J. Hill, a railroad magnate, until his death. Notable now for containing one of the few remaining intact pipe organs. However a raider gang has taken up residence now, but in an odd twist they've left the organ intact and one member even has learned how to play it.

Como park zoo and conservatory: Como is a park that also contained a zoo and conservatory on it's grounds. The park was well known for the numerous pieces of art and sculptures within it, as well as it's lake. The conservatory is taken care of by a small group that have appointed themselves as caretakers of the gardens within the conservatory. The zoo is one of the more interesting areas, pre war it's collection was a mixture of native and exotic animals. Post war the exact status of what remains of the collection is unknown, rumors of what lays within the zoo have spread for generations. However the zoo hasn't been fully explored as it is zealously guarded by robotic keepers.

Minnesota state fairgrounds: Pre war this was the site of the Minnesota State Fair, however the fair was done when the Great War occurred. The grounds have been taken over by a raider gang who use the old fair intercoms to attract victims.

Lindbergh historic site: The childhood home of the famous aviator Charles Lindbergh, located near the city of Little Falls. The farm was donated to the state of Minnesota in 1931. Afterwords the farm was restored and the park was later developed by the WPA. These developments include a picnic shelter, latrine, water tower, retaining wall, and drinking fountains.

Minnesota historical society building: Pre war this building housed the Minnesota Historical Society, which was dedicated to preserving the history of Minnesota. It's adjacent to the state capital and recognizable by the eight columns on the front of the building. The depths of the building include archives filled with items of historical value, the building is guarded by pre war security robots and turrets.

Kelley farm: The home of Oliver Kelly, who co-founded the National Grange of the Patrons of Husbandry in 1867. The home was turned into a museum and had many exhibits about agriculture in the state of Minnesota. This information could be invaluable in starting a successful community, however most who've stumbled upon the house have no idea of it's potential importance.

Sibley historic site:

Ramsey house:

Lac qui Parle mission:

Lower Sioux agency:

Birch coulee battlefield:

Jeffers petroglyphs:

Traverse des Sioux:

Forestville:

Military facilities:
Camp Ripley: Training facility located near Little Falls that was used by the National Guard, also contains the site of Fort Ripley.

Twin Cities Army Ammunition Plant: An ammunition production plant first built during World War 2, it produced ammo during the conflicts leading up to the Great War. Because most of the ammo making machinery is intact, the plant has shifted hands numerous times.

Coast Guard station Duluth: Coast Guard base located in Duluth
Abandoned settlements:
Abandoned faction locations:

Geography: Minnesota consists of an area totaling to about 86, 936 sq miles, it’s the northernmost state in the contiguous United States and is the 12th largest. The highest point in the state is Eagle Mountain at 2,301 ft above sea level, the lowest point is Lake Superior, 602 ft above sea level. The nickname of land of 10,000 lakes is well deserved, however it’s actually an understatement as the state has over 11,842 lakes with notable ones including Lake of the Woods and Lake Itasca. The state also contains about 6,564 natural rivers and streams with the most noteworthy being the mighty Mississippi river. Minnesota has many caves, most lie along the Mississippi, however some are away from the river in the southeast, notable ones include Mystery and Niagara caves. Many of the caves in the Twin Cities however,  have been sealed.  Minnesota contains three biomes, prairie grasslands in the southwest and western parts of the states, the Big Woods deciduous forests of the southeast, and the northern boreal forests.[/i][/i]
